Snuggled in her thick white robe
With her crimson throw tucked in around my toes
Morning’s cup of hot brew warming my hands and my heart,
Her memory and I welcome Autumn’s first 60-degree morning
kiss.
Swooping in from the West, Great Blue Heron (her favorite
bird)
loudly croaks his arrival on the Creek.
All around me Mother smiles.
